steamboat @ Johnny's Restaurant

It’s not hard for me to accept steamboat concept because Ma always cooked soup in our daily meal (such as tomyam, chicken soup, tumis sayur, etc.). Since I am a fan of steamboat, I would like to review one of my favourite steamboat restaurant; Johnny’s Restaurants. My favourite place for Johnny’s is at ground floor Jusco Cheras Selatan, Serdang.

We chose Set B that contains a few types of seafood, chicken, tofu, vegetables and eggs. This set is suitable for 2 persons. There is a choice for tomyam which you have to add RM10. We are having tight saving so we just take normal soup (sup pun sedap jugak kat sini) and added nasi and sotong and also drinks (sarsi) into our menu.

We were served with one small bowl of rice, it tastes like nasi pulut. It will taste better if you eat rice with soup and sauce. cuba lah try ;) Just FYI, besides serving steamboat, Johnny's also serving other food such as fried rice, chicken rice, fried mee and others. If you don't feel like eating steamboat, you can try other dishes okay, semua sedap-sedap ;)

The boiling process takes around 10-15 minutes to cook. Campak je semua bahan-bahan yang diberi ke dalam sup, kemudian sedia untuk dimakan!

My rating for soup and tastes 4/5, for freshness of the food 4.5/5, cleanliness 4.5/5, service 4/5. Overall good place to steamboat. Tak ada sebarang pembaziran sebab bahan-bahan sudah diberi tak macam steamboat buffet, kadang-kadang pilih bahan-bahan ikut nafsu sampai tak larat nak habiskan. Kalau nak makan lebih kena caj lebih la. Hehehe. For more information, you can click the image below for the link to Johnnys’ website =)

Cik & Yana's Engagement

Two weeks after our engagement, now it’s their turn to get engaged! I would like to congratulate my brother in-law-to-be, Cik and his fiancĂ©e, Yana (she will be my biras in the future).

They were engaged 13th May 2011 in Yana’s hometown, Johor Bahru (too bad Mr F and I couldn’t join the convoy to JB since we were working on that day :( ). Their engagement theme is blue-white, which I found soft and sweet for these two lovebirds. Let’s celebrate their happiness together! ;)

* Couldn't believe that I'm already engaged to someone and others are going through the same phase as mine. Time goes by too fast right??

Weekend @ Bukit Tinggi Berjaya Hills

Happy Saturday! Blogger has been blocked for few days so I can't update anything for a while. Today I would like to post about my visit to Bukit Tinggi, Berjaya Hills. I went there early this year, before I get engaged with Mr F. I know the story would have been outdated but I hope it’s still valid and can guide anyone who never been to Bukit Tinggi.

Bukit Tinggi is +/- 56 km away from Kuala Lumpur. We went there by car and had to pay RM5 for the Karak Highway toll. The journey took around 45 minutes’ drive and when we reached Bukit Tinggi, we need to pay for the entry ticket at the price of RM12 per person.
There are free shuttle available; we can use them for free (since we already paid the ticket) to move from one checkpoint to another (masa perjalanan shuttle ada dimaklumkan pada   setiap tempat menunggu). Mr F and I decided to use our car and save time since we reached Bukit Tinggi quite late, around 4.30 pm.

Firstly we went to French-themed village, Colmar Tropicale. It is a replica of a collection of buildings from a north-eastern village in France dating back to the 16th Century.

the Colmar Tropicale view from far

nice French style building

this small pond contains black and white swans

in this village there are a lot of small restaurant that serve French food
but I didn't try any (makanan mahal-mahal maa..)

me at the bridge

Rehat sebentar sebab letih kena mendaki bukit yang tinggi

Then we went to Japanese Village. It encompasses a Japanese Tea House, Sakura and Ume Tatami Suites, and a Botanical Garden. There is an hour long authentic Japanese Tea Ceremony conducted by Kimono clad ladies at the Japanese Tea House located within a Japanese garden with mini waterfalls and a pond of multi-coloured Koi, but we had to pay RM20 to join the ceremony so we decided not to try that =(

banyak pokok warna hijau, sejuk mata memandang

bersama ikan koi yang gemuk-gemuk. diorang diberi makan apa agaknya?

Next, we went to visit The Rabbit Park just in a minute before the park closed to visitors (operating hour only until 5.30pm). Because they were closing, we are allowed to enter the park for free (pheww..jimat tiket rm3 per entry)

kesian rabbit lari lintang-pukang sebab tak nak kena tangkap dan
dipindahkan ke kandang lain

There are other places to visit, but we ran out of time. Maybe next time we’ll visit Horse Trail and Botanical Garden. Overall, Bukit Tinggi is a nice place to visit since it represents a few cultures that we rarely seen in Malaysia.

*rasa macam nak ke Bukit Tinggi lagi, pemandangan yang cantik dan mendamaikan jiwa. Recommended place to visit especially for the city people who want to run away from hectic, tired day for a while

Festival Pengantin 2011 @ PICC Putrajaya

It’s been a while since I didn’t post any story. I was too busy with so many things to handle, besides I have to work double day (shift) and involved with small accident last week. I won’t elaborate more on that, xde mood da.... So let’s talk about good things only k ;)

Last Sunday Mr F and I went to Festival Pengantin 2011 at PICC (Putrajaya Convention Centre) which was held on 6th-8th May 2011. Sejak lepas bertunang, kitorang jumpa hobi baru, iaitu mengunjungi pameran kahwin dan mengumpul koleksi pamplet yang berkaitan dengan perkahwinan. Hehehe Actually we went there because we didn’t have any plan on that day and just walk-in the exhibition hall.

Luckily, as soon as we entered the hall at around 3.30pm, there were performance from popular artists such as Altimetz, Dafi, One Nation Emcees and Ana Raffali. They were invited to entertain the visitors during the exhibition. Mr F snapped some pictures of me and them (background jer) using handphones, the pictures look quite blur. Tapi i puas hati laa jugak..hehehe

Altimetz singing on the stage

errr.. i don't know who was his partner's name.
They were singing "Cantik" together

Dafi with his new single "Euphoria"

Group One Nation Emcess
They rock the stage with lively performance and great dancing!

 Anna Raffali

I was quite excited even though I have seen many artists before, and even walk beside them (err..lalu je..tu pun tak perasan artis lalu sebelah ;p) but for this time I can see them clearly at the stage and of course, get to see their live performance for FREE. I knew they are not that popular but all the songs they sang are my favourite songs!

After layan their performance for almost 40 minutes, and the show ended, we walk around the hall and visit some booths there. Sempat jugak visit booth kursus kahwin and registered our names to join kursus kahwin (at Putrajaya).

*Overall nothing much interesting on Festival Pengantin 2011 except for the couples who are really serious in planning their wedding because there are a lot of good packages to choose at great deals. But not yet for us laa..pergi sana main-main dan tengok show je hehehehe =p
